
I am Linda Erasmus
“It’s what you learn after you know it all”

My name is Linda Erasmus and since 1989, when I moved from the top salesperson in the business, to a newly appointed manager, I have been involved in the training and development of sales managers and sales teams alike. I have worked across South Africa and the UK. After I retired from the position as CEO of Fine & Country recently, I decided to give back to the industry which served me so well. I launched Inspirlead (Pty)Ltd in 2022 with the single goal of helping businesses to grow highly effective sales managers, sales managers to grow highly effective sales teams, and newcomers in the business to start off, on the right foot.
By using my own journey to success, I inspire others to avoid mistakes, and be ready for breakthrough moments and methods to compete with the best of the best. Sales Managers and Sales Teams must find harmonious notes, to excel. The mentorship I offer comes from personal experiences. I have walked in your shoes, knowing what you need, the changes you must make, and the heights you can reach.
The top 100 tennis players in the world, all have top coaches and mentors. The top 10 tennis players worldwide have coaches who once were top players. Choose a mentor and coach who walked in your shoes. I have always been passionate about developing people, and showing them what they can become. The Real Estate Industry attracts a number of newcomers every year, some left to figure out the business on their own. With good mentorship, many of those can become the next generation’s top agents. Established agents, often suffer from burnout. I offer a great mentorship programme for both established and newcomers to anyone in the sales arena. Sales have golden rules, whether you sell insurance, cars or real estate.
Shortly after I retired, I stepped in to assist with a sale where there was no agent. I felt like coming home, enjoying every moment of practicing what I preached for so many years. The customer confided in me and I learned that their home was on the market for three years. “We went through every estate agent operating in this area, the lady of the house, told me”. I promised to make their experience with me as an estate agent, a good one, which I did.
I cannot leave behind that this incident confirmed a couple of things to me, including that many sales managers are not connected to their sales team at all. The brand-promise of many of the Big Names did not come to the fore for this couple.
It was most probably at this point that I decided that I could still be effective and started Inspirlead. There are better ways for Sales Managers, Sales Agents, and customers? to success.
Where I lived out my passion under one brand in the past, Inspirlead will now focus on individuals and teams working for different brands.
I have always started a business with a vision of what it can become, and what it can do for others, and I never failed to leave successful people behind. Once again, my vision is to put the stamp of excellence on others, growing businesses and individuals alike, with the experiences I have gained through my colourful and impressive career.
